  RENE OHASHI, ASC, CSC
 
  In an industry that has defined itself with categories, Rene has transcended them all. Working in cinema, television and commercials, Rene has amassed a substantial and impressive body of work. This has resulted in Rene being invited to become a member of the prestigious American Society of Cinematographers.
 
  Rene's feature credits include the charming independent film Saint Ralph and the feature films They and Highwaymen for Miramax and New Line respectively, both directed by Robert Harmon. He recently completed five episodes of the captivating and thrilling series Kidnapped for NBC and two TV movies Sea Change and Thin Ice for CBS.
 
  In 2007 Rene received his third ASC nomination for Sea Change to go along with his 2001 nomination for Don Giovanni Unmasked as well as his 2000 ASC Award, won for the TV drama, The Crossing. This sits alongside an impressive list of recent awards that include Gemini Awards for Shades of Black, Shattered City and Don Giovanni Unmasked and CSC Awards for Kidnapped, Stone Cold, They and Club Land. Rene's dramatic work has included the pilot for the TV series Party of Five, episodes for The Wonder Years and Men. Rene also photographed the acclaimed mini-series The Arrow and Anne of Green Gables.
 
  Commercially, Rene has filmed numerous commercials including spots for American Express, Carlsberg, Nissan, Kellogg's, Ford and Pepsi, among dozens of other global brands.
 
  Versatile, passionate, trustworthy and gifted are all words routinely used to describe Rene and his work.
